Hailed as the fuel of the future, Bio-Diesel is the green alternative to diesel. Tinna has taken up the cudgels to promote and manufacture Bio-Diesel Manufacturer in India for a pollution free environment. ADM, one of the largest in the world, gives Tinna a tremendous advantage as we get access to latest technology and experienced marketing capabilities to promote the innovative product. Tinna has set up a state-of-the-art "Continuous Process" Bio-Diesel plant, at its existing Latur premises in Maharashtra .
Biodiesel refers to alkyl esters made from the transesterification of both vegetable oils and/ or animal fats. Biodisel is not only biodegradable and non-toxic but also reduces harmful emission of particulates like CO and CO2 considerably. Biodiesel can be used in current diesel engines, and can supplement fossil fuels as the world's primary transport energy source.
Since India is deficient in edible oils, there is an opportunity for obtaining Bio-Diesel from non edible oil seed called Jatropha. A team of qualified agronomists at Tinna is working with farmer groups to promote cultivation of Jatropha. This cultivation will lead to the upliftment of the rural population resulting in increased revenues and overall prosperity. In the near future, it promises energy independence to India.
Tinna has started a nursery to develop high oil yielding varieties of Jatropha saplings.
These saplings are being distributed to the farmers for plantation. More plans are afoot to put large plantations of Jatropha in Maharashtra and other states of the country. Jatropha plantation has already started in 250 acres of land on the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU) campus, Nanded. The plantation will cover 20,000 acres of land under Jatropha by 2010.
One of the largest producers of biodiesel in world, ADM has plants in Germany, Brazil with upcoming plants in USA, Indonesia & Singapore. In India, Tinna Oils and Chemical Ltd. and ADM under the JV have set up one of the first dedicated commercial transesterification biodiesel facilities in India at Latur, Maharashtra. This will run on the patented CD-process and will produce high quality Bio-diesel of European Norms (EN14214). The Unit also has a hi-tech biodiesel laboratory, one of its kind in India to test biodiesel, according to the IS 15607; 2005 (BIS Indian Specifications), EN 14214 (European Biodiesel Norms), ASTMD 6751 (US Standards).
As a conscientious entity, Tinna endeavors to promote technologies of the future that will help make this world a better place to live in. |
